Erin Sanchez started with the Coliseum Soccer club as a player in the 90’s. She played high school soccer for the Ilion School District and then for Hartwick College before transferring to Ithaca College. At Ithaca, Erin volunteered her time coaching different levels of soccer for the City of Ithaca. After graduating Ithaca College, Erin started her teaching career as a Physical Education teacher for the Elmira City School District. While there, Erin coached Modified Girls Soccer at Broadway Middle School and JV Girls Soccer at Southside High School.
In 2006, Erin started teaching Physical Education at Vernon Verona Sherrill School District and most recently, she was appointed to the Director of Physical Education and Athletics position. During her time at VVS, she has coached and refereed soccer and basketball.
She began coaching for Coliseum as a volunteer and now head coaches the Coliseum Scrappers u11 girls team. The Scrappers are an up and coming team who recently made it to the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup in Long Island, NY.
