Herkimer Generals Women's Head Coach Jason Palkovic
Jason Palkovic enters his fifth season as Head Coach of the Herkimer Generals Women's Soccer team and is coming off back to back to back Region III titles. In 2019, the Generals finished 5th at the NJCAA Division III National Championships. Coach Palkovic enters the 2020 season with an overall coaching record of 63-12-1.
In 2018, Herkimer advanced to the National Championships with a 2-0 over previously unbeaten and # 1 ranked Erie CC in the Region III Championship Game. The Generals finished 5th at the NJCAA Women's Soccer Division III Championships in Rockford, Illinois and Palkovic was named Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year and the US Soccer Coaches North Region Coach of the Year for the 2nd straight year. He has an overall head coaching record of 46-10-1 entering the 2019 season.
In 2017, Herkimer played in the National Championship game for the first time in women's soccer, dropping a 2-1 overtime decision to Brookhaven (TX).
Palkovic was the assistant coach in 2014 and 2015, helping the program to its first ever back-to-back regional championship after a fourth place finish at nationals in 2015. Palkovic has 14 total years of experience, doubling as an assistant for the Herkimer Generals men’s soccer program as well, helping them to five national championships (2005, 2008, 2011, 2012 and 2013).
Palkovic was a standout at Palmyra Area High School, near Hershey, PA, where he held the high school's record for total points in a season. During his time at Palmyra Area High School he received numerous accolades. He was named to the Patriot News Big 11, Lebanon Daily News 1st team, MVP, 1st team Mid-Penn All-Star, Central Penn All-Star and led his team in goals & assists his senior year.
